Job summary

Keefe Group, a TKC Holdings Company, is seeking an Operations Lead for the Edison, NJ warehouse. The role oversees order processing, shipping, and daily closeouts in the ERP system, with a Monday–Friday schedule and mandatory overtime.

On-site work, report to the operations manager, and liaise with carriers and internal teams to meet safety and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience, forklift and order

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1 year related experience.
• 6 months to 1 year supervisory experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Order filling experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to work with people at all levels.
• Familiarity with inventory management.
• Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office programs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Keep management updated on team performance.
• Communicate goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team.
• Resolve customer and carrier complaints/grievances within 24 hours.
• Ensure brand materials and spaces meet presentation standards.
• Communicate concerns among management and team members.
• Weekly audit of high-security items and report to Manager.
• Liaise with LTL carriers and internal sales team.
• Process daily orders, verify shipment in ERP, and close orders daily.
• Oversee picking, staging and loading for bulk orders.
• Ensure compliance with facility rules and security procedures.
• Other duties as needed.

About This Position

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

8am-4:30pm (mandatory overtime required)

The Operations Lead help coordinate all commissary shipments, orders and tasks at the Edison warehouse facility.

You will work onsite in the warehouse. You will report to the operations manager.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Keep management updated on team performance.
• Communicate our goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team.
• Ensure the response to and the resolution of all customer and carrier complaints/grievances within the established 24 hour time frame.
• Ensure company brand materials and physical working spaces exceed company presentation standards.
• Communicate concerns and policies among management and team members.
• Perform a weekly audit of high security items and forward information to the Manager, if applicable.
• Maintain an open relationship and act as a liaison with LTL carriers and internal sales team.
• Process orders for the day, confirm that they ship within the ERP system, and perform the daily closing of orders.
• Oversee the picking, staging and loading for all bulk orders within the department.
• Ensure all commissary employees know and follow all rules, regulations, security procedures of the correctional facility where they are located.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6 months to 1 year supervisory experience.
• We prefer forklift experience.
• We prefer order filling experience.
• Leadership experience.
• We want someone who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of Freight Department, Keefe Organization and the correctional facility.
• Familiarity with inventory management.
• Familiarity with computers (including Microsoft Office programs).
• Valid Drivers License.
