Join to apply for the Lead Building Maintenance Tech - Plumber role at Collin County.

Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Lead Building Maintenance Tech – Plumber. This position leads and directs plumbing work within Collin County, serving as a mentor to Building Maintenance Tech I and II positions. Responsibilities include assembling, installing, maintaining, and pressure testing pipes, fittings, fixtures, and plumbing systems, diagnosing malfunctions, and completing repairs according to work orders.

Additional duties involve installing and repairing pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing equipment such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and softeners. Reading blueprints and specifications to plan plumbing layouts, responding to emergency calls, performing preventive maintenance, and serving as an expert in plumbing repairs are also required.

Candidates must have over three years of building maintenance experience, at least five years of plumbing work, and six months of advanced study beyond high school. A valid Texas Operator’s Driver’s License and a Master Plumber License are mandatory.
