Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of field inspection experience.
• Building Inspector License required.
• MEP certifications preferred; willingness to obtain additional certifications.
• Experience inspecting active construction sites; ability to navigate uneven terrain and climb ladders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Field Data Collection software.
• Ability to read blueprints and analyze plans and specs.
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel region.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural inspections for residential and commercial properties at various construction stages.
• Conduct MEP inspections per code requirements and safety regulations.
• Review plans, blueprints, permits, and reports for compliance.
• Identify code violations and provide actionable recommendations.
• Conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions.
• Investigate complaints and safety concerns; recommend corrective measures.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with observations and photos.
• Maintain communication with field supervisors and project stakeholders.
• Assist in reviewing permits and project documentation for completeness.
• Ensure project compliance with regulatory standards and deadlines.
• Adhere to OSHA and client safety standards, including PPE.
• Stay updated on codes and pursue required certifications.
• Travel to project sites as needed; mentor junior inspectors.
