Job summary

Complete Building Services (CBS) is seeking an experienced Building Engineer for a 60,000 sq ft warehouse/office in Landover, MD. You will lead on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, chiller maintenance, and life-safety systems, ensuring safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.

Hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:00 pm with a salary of $80,000–$85,000 and a DC 3rd class license preferred or obtainable within 90 days. Join a supportive, inclusive team committed to excellence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• DC 3rd class license preferred or obtainable within 90 days.
• Must pass background check.
• 5+ years as Building Engineer in a 60,000 sq ft facility.
• 5+ years operating, maintaining, and installing mechanical equipment.
• Familiar with chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs.
• Must manage building EMS and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of systems and equipment.
• Execute preventive and general maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain equipment to industry standards.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors for installations and repairs.
• Interface with building manager to ensure client satisfaction.
• Document work in tickets and work orders accurately.
• Purchase materials and manage inventory for timely work.
