Mott MacDonald in Westwood, MA is seeking a Bridge Engineer to lead design and project management of transportation bridge projects within our North America transportation and infrastructure teams. Qualifications

• A degree in civil engineering or structural engineering.
• 5+ years' bridge design and project management experience, including structural rehabilitation and replacement of highway and rail bridges.
• Management of people and projects.
• Effective communication through collaboration; written and oral.
• Experience with Massachusetts and/or Connecticut Department of Transportation standards and project procedures preferred.
• Proficiency with Bentley Open Bridge is preferred; proficiency in Bentley Open Roads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Management of bridge projects.
• Overseeing bridge design, contract document development, and technical writing.
• Assisting in the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, studies, and designs for project.
• Independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Leading meetings with clients and contractors with other members of the project team.
• Reviewing various shop drawings and preparing preconstruction cost estimates for projects.
• Working with the team to prepare proposals.
• Financial management of projects, including updating internal financial system, invoice preparation and payment processing.
