Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer to join our Indianapolis team, supporting major transportation infrastructure across the Midwest. The role offers collaboration with a skilled team and opportunities to grow technical and leadership capabilities on high‑impact bridge projects.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, 10+ years of bridge design experience in Indiana, and a PE license (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of progressive bridge design and project engineering experience, preferably on Indiana State and regional transportation projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana (or ability to obtain).
• Experience delivering multi‑span steel and concrete bridge projects (new design and/or rehabilitation).
• Proven experience managing bridge design and design‑build projects for state DOTs or similar agencies.
• Strong familiarity with relevant state DOT standards, manuals, and standard sheets (Indiana).
• Proficiency with bridge/structural design software: MicroStation, LEAP Bridge, MDX Merlin Dash, MDX,

Responsibilities

• Responsible for project deliverables including transportation design, plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Drive quality management procedures on team.
• Ensures Parsons’ safety procedures are in effect.
• Mentors and leads junior staff and engineers on bridge and structure projects.
• Strives to obtain maximum INDOT performance scores for scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Identify staffing needs and develop staffing plans for projects and pursuits.
• Provide support to business development through technical and business acumen.
