Parsons in Indiana is seeking a Bridge Section Manager to lead a growing team of engineers on highway bridge projects and transportation structures. You will shape delivery, mentor staff, and align resources with program goals across complex portfolios.

The role requires proven leadership, extensive INDOT/bridge experience, and collaboration with project managers to ensure quality and timely results. PE license and strong design software knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of road and highway experience, with a focus on highway bridges (INDOT projects preferred).
• 3–5 years of directly managing engineering staff and project teams.
• Indiana Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Knowledge of INDOT design manuals, AASHTO, and standard practices.
• Proficiency with bridge design software (MDX, LEAP Bridge, AASHTOWare, MicroStation/OpenRoads).
• Established relationships with INDOT Central Office and District staff (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Plan staffing across projects and programs.
• Review budgets and forecasts to ensure teams are set up for success.
• Coordinate resources across disciplines.
• Support engineering and design efforts on assigned projects.
• Monitor progress, quality, and productivity to meet goals.
• Partner with PMs to address staffing, schedule, or quality concerns.
• Ensure work aligns with standards and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve team processes.
• Participate in quality initiatives and discipline-related activities.
• Develop and maintain team tools and guidance.
• Manage department resources within approved budgets.
