Job summary

Freeman Health in Joplin, MO is seeking a Lead Mammography Technologist to oversee the breast imaging department's daily operations and workflow. You will coordinate with the Department Manager, Quality Coordinator, and Lead Interpreting Physician to ensure efficient patient flow and adherence to imaging standards.

The role requires ARRT Mammography certification, 3–5 years of mammography experience, and strong communication skills to support high-volume operations and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Mammography (R)(M) required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mammography.
• Prior lead or senior technologist experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of breast imaging workflows, including screening, diagnostic, and interventional procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workflow in a high-volume environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in PACS, RIS, and scheduling systems.

What You'll Do

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations and workflow of the breast imaging department. This role ensures efficient patient flow, appropriate resource utilization, and consistent execution of established imaging standards. The Lead Technologist serves as the primary point of coordination for technologists during daily operations and works closely with the Department Manager, Quality Coordinator, and Lead Interpreting Physician to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Mammography (R)(M) required.
