This will be a 6 Month CONTRACT TO HIRE

Client is specifically looking for candidates coming from a current or more recent BRAND MARKETING AGENCY employer

Description

Position: Lead Designer

Objective: Fill the lead design position with a focus on brand design rather than UX/UI design. This role will be focused on design, not client interaction.

Experience Level: Typically 5-10 years and at a Master Design level.

Portfolio Evaluation Criteria

Primary Focus: Brand creation

  1. Logo design
  2. Color palette
  3. Typography
  4. Brand system implementation across various mediums (website, social media, print, sales decks).

Agency vs. In-House Lens:

  1. Prefer candidates from traditional graphic design agencies.
  2. Agency experience implies working on multiple brands with expertise in brand identity.

Desired Design Qualities:

  1. Design systems
  2. Composition
  3. Typography
  4. Layout
  5. Color theory (secondary)

Tools Proficiency:

  1. Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  2. Figma

Preferred Titles:

  1. Graphic Designer
  2. Brand Designer

Current Team Structure:

Approximately 30 members including strategists, writers, social team, UX team, and designers. High degree of collaboration within a lean team. Access to external expertise as needed (e.g., social experts).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00.
