Job summary

Hampshire High School in Hampshire, IL seeks a Head Wrestling Coach with strong knowledge of boys wrestling and program management focused on student-athletic achievement. Must coach at all levels within the program, organize duties, and collaborate with parents and the Booster Club.

The candidate will work with the Athletic Director to schedule practices, games, and transportation, while maintaining equipment records and ensuring compliance with IHSA and district requirements.

Qualifications

• Head Wrestling Coaching experience is preferred and must be able to manage all levels within the program.
• Ability to communicate with parents and Booster Club.
• Organized and flexible, able to take direction from supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Enhance, improve, and maximize students' athletic skills to compete at a high level.
• Lead an athletic program for sustained participation and success.
• Coordinate with Athletic Director to schedule games, officials, and transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment for the program.
• Communicate program philosophy and conditioning plans to ensure student-athlete development.
• Oversee all program levels and areas of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with D300 and IHSA requirements including eligibility and conduct.
