Job summary

Mt. Hope High School in Bristol, Rhode Island, invites applications for the Track (Indoor) Head Coach for Boys for the Winter 2026-2027 season.

This position is dependent upon funding and sufficient sign-ups and will require after-school hours and some evenings. The head coach will promote, coordinate, and continuously improve the boys' indoor track program, manage budget, equipment, travel, scheduling, and compliance with NFHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Rhode Island Certificate for Athletic Coach and NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching; CPR/First Aid certifications required.
• Experience coaching at the secondary school level preferred.
• Annual recertification for NFHS RI rules test and Concussion course required.

Responsibilities

• Head coach responsible for promoting, coordinating and improving the boys' indoor track program.
• Manage budget, scheduling, team travel, equipment and uniforms, and certification.
