Job summary

JHA Safety LLC dba Optimum Mechanical Services in Beaumont, TX seeks a Lead Journeyman Boilermaker to supervise the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of boilers and pressure vessels. Qualifications

• Journeyman boilermaker with lead‑hand responsibilities.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specs.
• Experience with fitting, welding, cutting, rigging, and installation methods.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and site procedures.
• Ability to lead others and coordinate multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, and related systems.
• Lead and support a team of boilermakers and craft workers in daily work assignments.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and specifications to complete tasks.
• Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, defects, and compliance with standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding, cutting, rigging, and measuring instruments safely.
• Plan work sequences, coordinate materials and equipment, and maintain productivity.
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout, permit processes, and site regulations.
• Communicate with supervisors, peers, and other trades to support workflow.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced team members.
