Job summary

Central Gulf Industrial Alliance seeks a Leadman to guide craft workers, read blueprints, and assist Foreman in field boiler and tank fabrication and repair. You will lead a crew, verify dimensions, and coordinate rigging and welding tasks on site.

Responsibilities include aligning structures, performing edge preparation, installing components, and testing assembled vessels while maintaining strict safety standards. Strong leadership and hands-on skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in the field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions.
• Ability to work under supervision and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Locates and marks reference points for columns or plates on foundations and uses measuring tools.
• Attaches rigging or signals crane operators to lift components to position.
• Aligns structures or plates to assemble boilers, tanks or vessels using plumb bobs and levels.
• Welds or bolts sections together and prepares edges for fitting.
• Inspects and tests assembled vessels by loading with water or gas to check for leaks.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleanup with tools and equipment as needed.
• Follows safety rules and project requirements; assists in field fabrication as required.
