Job summary

Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks an experienced automotive engineer to drive the design, validation, timing, and production release of body-closure systems, including hoods, doors, liftgates, and related sheet metal sub-assemblies.

You will lead system release and packaging, coordinate with Electrical, Lighting, Exterior Trim, and Interior teams, support CAE-based structural goals, ensure manufacturability across stamping and welding, and manage DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, CAD

Responsibilities

• System Release: Lead the engineering design, packaging, and release of closure structures, moving panels, and operating mechanisms.
• Clearance Management: Coordinate system packaging and clearance requirements with Electrical, Lighting, Exterior Trim, and Interior Engineering.
• Structural Analysis: Collaborate with CAE groups to satisfy modal stiffness, crashworthiness, durability, and operational targets.
• Manufacturing Feasibility: Ensure full component manufacturability across stamping feasibility, weld access, hem lines, and assembly plant processing.
• Quality & Lifecycle: Manage DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, CAD models, eBOMs, release milestones, supplier interactions, prototype builds, and assembly plant quality resolutions.
