Job summary

Archer is partnering with JPMorgan Chase to identify a Lead Software Engineer for Cybersecurity & Tech Controls. You will design, develop, test, and implement secure software components to protect the firm’s blockchain capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience engineering a security analytics platform (Splunk or equivalent) in a large-scale enterprise
• Programming/scripting language for automation and integration tasks
• Understanding of data management in security analytics: ingestion, parsing, normalization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Experience in Agile team environments
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, risk management, and security architecture
• Experience using enterprise AI capabilities to support security workflows with validation
• Understanding of laws and ethics related to financial cybersecurity

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy security monitoring controls with a focus on blockchain security
• Build and maintain tooling using API-first design, microservices and event-driven patterns for resilience and scalability
• Engineer and operate CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security gates
• Define and execute secure SDLC practices including threat modeling and secure code reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate blockchain security telemetry
• Provide technical leadership through design and code reviews across squads
• Apply AI-assisted practices in SDLC/toolchains to strengthen security testing and validation
• Support production reliability through incident triage and continuous improvement
• Perform technical evaluation during PoC/vendor assessments with SME input
