Job summary

Jabil is seeking a BIOS Developer to lead BIOS/UEFI development and platform integration on complex hardware programs. You will own firmware features, drive debug and optimization, and ensure readiness for validation, manufacturing, and customer delivery.

The role requires 5–10 years in BIOS/UEFI or embedded firmware, strong debugging skills, and the ability to mentor peers while coordinating with multiple engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of BIOS/UEFI embedded firmware or low-level platform software experience.
• Strong firmware architecture, debugging, and platform init capability.
• Experience with server/storage/networking or x86 compute platforms is required.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical issue resolution involving firmware, hardware, and validation teams.
• Strong coding, debugging, and technical communication abilities; mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIOS/UEFI firmware development, subsystem enablement, and integration across product platforms.
• Define BIOS feature implementation aligned to platform architecture, requirements, and release plans.
• Investigate and resolve complex firmware and system issues during bring-up, validation, or customer escalation.
• Lead BIOS validation readiness, tuning, and optimization to improve stability, functionality, and performance.
• Partner with Electrical, BMC, Systems, Validation, and other teams to resolve cross-domain issues and align releases.
• Guide firmware quality practices including issue tracking, regression testing, code reviews, and release discipline.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standard methods and reusable code approaches.
