Job summary

Denali Therapeutics Inc is seeking a senior biomarker scientist to lead cross-functional biomarker research within Translational Medicine. You will define strategies that generate evidence of target engagement and disease biomarkers, contributing to regulatory submissions and briefing documents for health authorities.

The role requires mentoring junior scientists and communicating complex data clearly across teams.

Qualifications

PhD in a relevant scientific discipline with typically 10+ years of post-training industry/academic experience.
Expertise developing, executing, and interpreting biomarker assays in a clinical setting.
Experience contributing to regulatory submissions (BLA/NDA/IND) with biomarker sections.

Responsibilities

Leads complex biomarker research projects within Translational Medicine.
Defines biomarker strategies for target engagement and disease biomarkers.
Contributes to regulatory submissions and briefing documents for health authorities.
Maintains deep knowledge of rare disease biomarkers and expands to CNS disorders.
Designs and implements biomarker assays in clinical biosamples.
Mentors junior scientists across labs and project teams.
Analyzes complex data sets and communicates results to diverse audiences.
Represents the organization at scientific conferences and partnerships.
