Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Bioinformatics Analyst to spearhead data interpretation across genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. You will guide a team of analysts, collaborate with researchers, and shape data-driven discovery within a dynamic organization.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in bioinformatics, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proven expertise in analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, including variant calling, RNA-Seq, and ChIP-Seq.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and shell scripting, along with experience in bioinformatics databases and tools.
  • Strong understanding of statistical genetics, population genetics, and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

About the Role
