The role will lead cross-functional teams through enzyme engineering, high-throughput automation, and digital workflows, driving AI/ML for design and analysis while mentoring researchers and accelerating data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. degree in a related field with 7/10/12 years of experience.
• Experience in biocatalytic process development and enzyme engineering using directed evolution.
• Experience with laboratory automation and high-throughput experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership and collaborate across chemists, biologists, computer scientists, and engineers.
• Develop enzymes and biocatalytic processes for small-molecule synthesis.
• Implement digital and automation technologies to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Lead AI/ML and data-driven approaches for experimental design and analysis.
• Mentor scientists and communicate results to stakeholders.
