Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a BIM Modeler Lead to drive modeling efforts for project delivery and standards, primarily using Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks. You will collaborate with the production team to create detailed drawings and may function as a detailer as directed by your supervisor.

You will set up Revit views, manage drawings, support transmittals, and train team members on Autodesk tools while advancing modeling standards across trades.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Design Review.
• Experience with Revit worksets and worksharing.
• Electrical background preferred to support trade modeling.
• Familiarity with laser scanning and converting scan data to 3D models.
• Ability to import and manage various file types in Revit.
• Experience coordinating models across trades.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update Revit models based on marked‑up drawings, following EC standards.
• Set up Revit views, manage electronic drawings, and maintain document organization.
• Prepare drawing sets and support transmittals via SharePoint/FTP.
• Coordinate 3D models across trades and field teams.
• Lead laser scanning efforts and build 3D models from scan data.
• Train team members on Autodesk tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
• Establish and maintain modeling standards.
• Manage document transmission and reproduction (plotters, printers).
• Translate directions into accurate design documents.
• Import external files into Revit projects.
