Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on QlikView design, development, and implementation.
• Expert-level QlikView scripting and data transformations.
• Deep understanding of QlikView data modeling and best practices.
• Strong SQL skills; Qlik NPrinting familiarity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts and users to translate needs into QlikView data models and visualizations.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports following QlikView guidelines.
• Manage data extraction from multiple sources and build a robust QVD layer.
• Develop high-performance dashboards using Set Analysis and front-end expressions.
• Provide production support, enhancements, and issue resolution for data models.
• Lead design options, create mock-ups, and align applications with specs.
• Configure user authentication and section access in QlikView to protect data.
• Oversee deployment, scheduling, and monitoring via QlikView Management Console.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and identify improvements.
• Participate in Scrum, manage Jira stories from conception to completion.

Constellation Search Group is looking for a Lead BI Developer for a full-time position. The Lead BI Developer will be instrumental in converting business needs into robust reporting and analytics solutions. This role involves designing, developing, implementing, and transitioning business requirements into scalable, high-performing applications, primarily focusing on QlikView business intelligence solutions. The individual will work closely with various departments to ensure data models and applications meet organizational standards and needs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business analysts and users to understand reporting and analytics needs, transforming them into optimal, scalable QlikView data models and visualizations.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports, ensuring adherence to QlikView architecture guidelines.
• Manage data extraction from multiple sources and build a robust QVD layer using complex QlikView load scripts.
• Develop high-performance dashboards and visualizations using Set Analysis, variables, and front-end expressions.
• Provide ongoing enhancements and production support for data models and applications, addressing business needs and issues promptly.
• Lead design options and approaches, creating mock-ups and applications aligned with specifications.
• Configure user authentication and implement QlikView section access, maintaining data security and integrity.
• Identify and resolve issues, manage application deployment, scheduling, and monitoring through the QlikView Management Console.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Participate in the Scrum process, managing Jira stories from conception to completion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in QlikView design, development, and implementation.
• Expert-level proficiency in QlikView scripting, data transformations, and optimization techniques.
• Deep understanding of QlikView data modeling and best practices.
• Experience with performance tuning of QlikView applications and strong SQL skills.
• Familiarity with Qlik NPrinting is advantageous.
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic, capable of working independently and as a technical leader.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
