QlickView Architect – Atlanta, GA – Full Time (Permanent)

Qualifications

Basic

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology.
• At least 9 years of experience with DW/BI/Reporting and related tools, understanding of Data Modeling concepts.

Preferred

• At least 9+ years of experience in DW/BI related technologies and tools – MUST.
• At least 6+ years of experience in project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Hands on experience in design and development of data visualization solutions using Qlikview tool.
• About 5+ years of experience with thorough knowledge of scripting, data source integration and advanced GUI development in QlikView including performance tuning, deployment and support of Qlikview developed applications.
• At least 5 years of experience in the use of the QlikView version 10 or higher (Version 11 preferable) with proven experience in: sourcing data from disparate systems with a good understanding of Data Models and ETL procedures;
• Strong knowledge of QlikView server architecture and building qvd’s and qvw’s applying business rules and data validations.
• Experience in end‑to‑end implementation of Business Intelligence projects, especially in scorecards, KPIs, reports & dashboards.
• Advanced scripting and ETL, data modeling (star schema).
• Working with large data sets.
• Integrating data from multiple data sources into a QlikView Data Model.
• Use of complex QlikView functions and developing the most optimal scripts for a given solution.
• Good knowledge of SQL, relational databases and dimensional modeling – star schemas.
• Optimization of data model for performance.
• Has strong opinions about technical approaches, design, solutions and is able to defend them in a collaborative environment.
• Must have developed enterprise applications for use in production environments.
• Experience with complex data models.
• Front‑end design and visualization best practices.
• Intimate familiarity with Set Analysis & all charts and graphs to determine best one to use for a given business situation.
• Experience with actions and triggers, document chaining & linking.
• Publisher and server knowledge preferred.
• Demonstrates strong technical skills required for the role, able to architect, design, pays attention to detail, takes initiative to broaden his/her knowledge and demonstrates appropriate financial/analytical skills.
• Ability to lead a larger team in managing, estimating, planning and tracking projects for QlikView solutions and mentor/guide team on technical areas pertaining to QlikView.
• Ability to work in a team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
• Soft skills: Good communication, analytical and presentation skills, problem solving skills and learning attitude.
• Experience in providing advanced technology advisory services.

QlickView Lead – Foster City, CA – Full Time (Permanent)

Qualifications

Basic

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in developing reports, dashboards, SQL queries, or metadata layers, using MicroStrategy.

Preferred

• Experience in converting business data need into creative visualizations in MicroStrategy.
• Partner with business stakeholders with the goal of providing them with the ability to make decisions and gain insights through data visualization.
• Complete life cycle experience that includes requirements gathering, data‑model and how to best visualize data, followed by design, deployment, and ongoing enhancements.
• Be able to write SQL to do initial data mining that can then be communicated or translated to peer ETL developers for database development.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Data modeling, design & implementation based on recognized standards.
• Additional knowledge of Tableau will be a definite plus.
• Experience with ETL tools (like Talend, Pentaho) preferred.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
