Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company seeks a Senior Chemist for Beverage Inside Spray Development to lead advanced coating formulation, testing, scale-up, and commercialization of interior spray coatings for beverage cans. You will translate customer needs into robust, market-ready solutions while collaborating across global teams to optimize performance and manufacturability.

You will design experiments, analyze data, and mentor other chemists while maintaining safety, regulatory, and quality standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required.
5+ years in industrial chemistry, coatings formulation, or polymer development.
Experience designing experiments and analyzing technical data.
Ability to communicate complex results to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead product-development and commercialization projects of moderate to high complexity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global sites to translate requirements into coating solutions.
Develop, validate, and document test methods correlating with manufacturing and end-use conditions.
Mentor chemists and technicians and share knowledge across the team.
Ensure safety, regulatory, and quality requirements are met.
