The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Tech at our WRTC to provide supervision of PRN Behavioral Health Technician staff and unit oversight in the absence of the Program Manager and/or Supervisor. Responsibilities include ensuring client safety, monitoring clients with special needs, coordinating meal services, facilitating educational groups, teaching coping skills, overseeing clients' ADL performance, encouraging adherence to treatment goals, and related duties. Work is performed under the supervision of the Unit Supervisor and/or Manager, with exercise of unit shift supervision and direct responsibility over PRN staff.

Essential Functions
  1. Provide staff supervision and complete annual evaluations.
  2. Direct and coordinate program activities, enforce policies and procedures.
  3. Respond to emergencies and assist in crisis intervention.
  4. Manage unit supplies and ensure adequate staffing.
  5. Monitor and maintain unit safety, assist clients with activities of daily living, hygiene, eating, and sleeping habits.
  6. Facilitate and document program groups and shift activities.
  7. Perform direct client services, including intake, contraband checks, bed making, and orientation.
  8. Ensure laundry duties are completed, assign staff to assist clients with special needs, and serve meals.
  9. Engage with clients, provide verbal support, and document progress.
  10. Coordinate discharges with case management team.
  11. Complete shift reports and perform clerical duties as needed.
  12. Attend meetings, trainings, and seminars as assigned.
