Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center currently seeks a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for its Detox and Residential facility opening in Indianapolis, IN. You will oversee daily residential operations, support staff, and ensure a safe, hopeful recovery environment for clients.

Ideal candidates bring leadership, interpersonal skills, and a compassionate, boundary-driven approach to helping individuals in recovery and building a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (intake, supervision, events, transportation, meals, etc.).
• Train and support BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale to maintain a warm recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance with all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food

service, medications etc.)

• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures
