Qualifications
- PhD in a related discipline and 6+ years of directly related post-degree experience.
- Exceptional candidates may be considered for appointment at a different level based on experience, expertise, and impact.
- Strong ability to independently solve problems and lead research activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute energy storage safety research projects focused on advancing ESRI's mission.
- Investigate scientific challenges related to thermal runaway, high-temperature LFP cells, and advanced electrolytes.
- Design, execute, and analyze battery safety experiments and testing protocols.
- Collaborate with outside research partners and participate in relevant associations and organizations.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to research strategy and dissemination.
