Qualifications

• PhD in a related discipline.
• 6+ years of directly related post-degree experience or equivalent combination.
• Strong independence and problem solving in electrochemical engineering and energy storage safety.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead projects and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct energy-storage safety research projects applying fundamental scientific principles.
• Investigate challenges from thermal runaway to system-level risks.
• Design and execute battery safety experiments and testing protocols.
• Collaborate with external research partners and contribute to publications.
• Serve as lead author on high-impact papers and reports.
• Mentor junior researchers and drive research strategy and execution.
