Are you passionate about sports and enjoy working with youth athletes? We seek reliable and experienced Youth Basketball LEAD to join the i9sports dynamic team on Saturdays, 8am-3:15 pm. We want to hear from you if you have a strong understanding of Basketball rules, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to ensuring fair play!

Responsibilities:

1. Manage a team of officials, ensuring games are on time, staff is well trained, provide breaks, and provide conflict management.
2. Cultivate a culture with staff, players, and coaches.
3. Officiate flag football games for youth teams, ensuring a safe and fun environment for all participants.
4. Enforce game rules and regulations to maintain fair and competitive play.
5. Make accurate and timely calls during games, displaying a comprehensive knowledge of flag football rules and mechanics.
6. Maintain control of the game and handle any conflicts or disputes that may arise in a professional and respectful manner.
7. Collaborate with coaches and other officials to address any concerns and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
8. Be punctual and reliable, showing up for scheduled games and assignments on time and fully prepared.
9. Demonstrate strong leadership skills and act as a positive role model for young athletes.
10. Uphold the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect throughout all interactions with players, coaches, and spectators.

Requirements:

1. Prior experience as a Basketball referee is essential.
2. Management Experience is needed.
3. Thorough knowledge of flag football rules and regulations.
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate decisions clearly and confidently.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities to handle on-field situations efficiently.
6. Dependable and punctual with a commitment to attending scheduled games and events.
7. Ability to work well with children and maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
8. Officiating certification is a plus but not mandatory.
9. Flexibility in working weekends and evenings during the season.
