Job summary

Tooele County School District is seeking a Head Baseball Coach at Deseret Peak High School. The role focuses on teaching fundamental baseball skills, developing practice and game plans, and guiding student-athletes toward athletic and academic excellence.

The coach will oversee trips, equipment, and coordination with staff and administration, while mentoring assistants and coordinating with the athletic department in alignment with district policies.

• Strong public relations and communication with staff, parents, and administration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and schedule activities within district budgets.
• Experience as an athlete or coach helpful for understanding sport culture.
• Willingness to supervise trips, camps, and competitions.
• Energetic, responsible, dependable, self-motivated and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in the fundamental skills of baseball and related activities.
• Develop drill and practice plans, game strategies, and training rules for players.
• Motivate students to excel academically and athletically.
• Oversee team trips, events, and pep rallies; manage equipment and staffing.
• Assist in hiring and guiding assistant coaches and scheduling activities within budget.
