Job summary

PremiStar in Monona, WI is seeking a Senior Controls Technician to program, commission, troubleshoot, and service commercial HVAC Building Automation Systems (BAS). You will start up systems, diagnose issues, and deliver high-quality workmanship while supporting project teams and customers on site and remotely as needed.

The role requires 5–7 years in controls, strong knowledge of BAS platforms (Tridium, WebCTRL, Honeywell, etc.), and the ability to mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of experience as a Controls Technician preferred.
• Experience with commercial HVAC Building Automation Systems required.
• Strong knowledge of BAS platforms (Tridium, WebCTRL, Honeywell, etc.).
• Ability to read drawings and interpret control schematics.
• Proficient with Windows-based laptops and MS Office.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and download BAS for commercial HVAC systems.
• Install, test, start up, and commission control systems per specs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex BAS and HVAC issues onsite or remotely.
• Lead or coordinate field activities to ensure project success.
• Maintain project documentation and commissioning reports.
• Provide technical support to account managers during estimating.
• Coordinate customer trainings on BAS operation and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and company standards.
