Job summary

Sugar Bowl Resort in California is seeking a Lead Bartender to take ownership of our bar program, setting the standard behind the bar and ensuring shifts run like clockwork. You’ll own bar organization, inventory, and scheduling, train staff, develop signature drinks and seasonal specials, and deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, high-volume resort environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of bartending experience.
• Holds, or is willing to obtain, RBS server certification.
• Holds a current CA Food Handler’s Card.
• Comfortable with basic math for costing and pours.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise setup and breakdown of bars and satellite locations.
• Own ordering and inventory of bar products.
• Model professional demeanor and grooming.
• Help manage the bar team’s schedule with the F&B Manager.
• Lead development of signature drinks and seasonal specials.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bars and storage areas.
• Provide wine, liquor, and bar service to guests at stations.
• Ensure exceptional service and support for beverage servers.
