Job summary

Ettan in Palo Alto is looking for a Bartender who will provide exceptional drink and food service while assisting Barbacks in a dynamic restaurant environment. Responsibilities include managing bar setup, cash handling, and ensuring cleanliness. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and possess relevant training certificates. Knowledge of cocktails and the food menu, along with strong communication skills, is preferred. The position offers a minimum wage plus tips and potential benefits after 60 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have current Food Handler and Unlawful Harassment training certificates.
• Ability to effectively communicate with and mentor staff.
• Ability to maintain an even temperament under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Extend a genuine welcome and good-bye to all Ettan guests.
• Oversee and assist with Barback duties/responsibilities.
• Set up and breakdown of bar.
• Follow cocktail batch recipes from Ettan bar binder.
• Reconcile cash drawer at opening and closing; oversee cash handling.
• Track juice pars and log juice production needs.
• Execute opening bar prep.
• Know all table and seat numbers based on seating floor map.
