Description

Afterwords Wine Bar is one of many food venues located on property at Chautauqua Institution, offering a relaxed atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Patrons can enjoy a variety of dishes paired with hand-selected wines.

Compensation: $13.00/hour plus tipped earnings. Employees may receive a minimum wage of $15.50/hour under certain conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor.
  • Prepare mixed drinks according to standards.
  • Receive and prepare bar beverage orders from service staff.
  • Provide fast-paced bar and cocktail service.
  • Clean glasses, utensils, and bar area.
  • Restock beer, wine, and glasses as necessary.
  • Track orders through POS System and report daily sales.
  • Know and understand NYS Liquor Laws.
  • Oversee front-of-house staff and monitor restaurant operations.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain standards of a fine dining establishment.
  • Work with kitchen staff to ensure quality control.
  • Assist management in cost-effectiveness within budget.
  • Conduct training for seasonal staff.
  • Direct employees to maintain a clean environment.

Schedule

Flexible schedules for seasonal employment during summer operations, typically including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Anticipated shifts may vary between 5am to 5pm.
