Job Responsibilities

As a Bartender Lead, you will assist in training, supervising, and supporting all bar and catering associates to provide exceptional guest service. Your duties will include:

  1. Perform opening and closing sidework per checklists.
  2. Greet customers, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding drinks and menu items.
  3. Take drink orders from customers or servers and prepare cocktails according to standard recipes.
  4. Take food orders from guests and submit them to the kitchen for preparation.
  5. Record all sales transactions accurately and secure payments.
  6. Wash glassware as needed.
  7. Be knowledgeable of current food and beverage offerings, including wine lists and cocktail menus.
  8. Assist managers in training and mentoring bar and catering staff.
  9. Help maintain proper shift coverage, including breaks and call-offs.
  10. Assign duties and shifts, and monitor performance to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  11. Complete all sidework daily as per checklists.
  12. Manage opening and closing shifts, including cash drops.
  13. Follow proper cash control procedures.
  14. Maintain brand standards and food sanitation and handling standards.
  15. Participate in departmental communication through logs and meetings.
  16. Coordinate event details with management and staff.
  17. Set up, break down, and store dining and bar areas properly.
  18. Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications.
  19. Manage banquet checks and review them with guests.
  20. Ensure food quality and service standards are maintained.
  21. Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory management, billing, and purchasing.
  22. Provide guests with information about hotel services and local area.
  23. Maintain cleanliness of lounge and surrounding areas.
Job Requirements

We seek a self-motivated Bartender Lead with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues. Qualifications include:

  • 3 to 6 months of related experience, or a one-year certificate from college or technical school, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
