Job summary

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions and make suggestions
• Prepare coffee shop items per customer requests using proper equipment
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
• Measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipes
• Prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients
• Check product quality and review sell by dates
• Report discrepancies to the department manager; order, label, stock and inventory merchandise
• Use all coffee shop equipment according to guidelines
• Understand store layout to locate products
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Maintain inventory awareness and assist lead with inventory planning
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
• Perform preventive maintenance and notify for repairs
• Report safety risks and incidents; notify management of accidents
• Train and coach coffee shop clerks in procedures
• Able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation
