Job summary

Oak View Group operates a Pasadena-based coffee venue, seeking a Starbucks Lead Barista to head a team and uphold Starbucks standards during shifts. You will manage guest checkout, ensure quality beverages, and supervise assistants within the coffee department.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, adherence to policies, and the ability to work a range of shifts in a high-volume environment at the Pasadena Convention Center.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of previous experience as a barista or lead bartista.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations and pass a math skills test.
• Must have a pleasant personality and adhere to the Uniform Standards policy.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to work closely with others.
• Must be able to work various shifts including holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to operate a Micros POS system.
• Food Handler's Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Providing quality customer service and knowledge of coffee and tea products.
• Assist in managing and supervising associates, ensuring smooth operation with the coffee department.
• Providing technical guidance and training to new team members.
• Keeps food and beverage shelves stocked with current product, including review of FIFO.
• Processes POS transactions accurately and handles payments.
• Crafting quality beverages and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
• Assist the department supervisor/manager with overall direction and coordination of the coffee shop.
