Job summary

DORA is seeking a senior examiner to regulate the safety and soundness of trust companies and bank trust departments. You will plan, organize, and manage examination staff, ensure thorough reports, and uphold supervisory standards.

The role requires interpreting banking statutes and communicating findings to management and the board. This hybrid position anchors in Colorado, with opportunities for professional development, paid time off, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years full-time professional work experience in a financial institution, domestic state or federal commercial bank or trust company, and/or with a state or federal banking regulatory body; at least one (1) year leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Determine examination objectives and areas of review.
• Set priorities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Prepare and review complex examination work papers and reports.
• Interpret and explain rules and regulations to examiners and institution management.
• Communicate examination findings to bank/trust management and the board of directors.
• Conduct exit meetings and present conclusions and recommendations.
• Interview and investigate all areas of the bank and trust company with employees and officers.
• Perform off-site monitoring on a quarterly caseload of banks and trust companies.
