Job summary

Aspire Bakeries LLC is hiring a Production Lead for our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. You will coordinate production and packing teams to meet daily schedules and ensure safe, efficient operations on the 2nd shift with weekend availability.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to food safety standards, and collaboration across Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Shipping teams. We offer a culture focused on care, ownership, and growth, with a competitive pay rate of $25.00–$26.25 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, assign, and coordinate team members.
• Working knowledge of production equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct production and packing team activities to meet daily production schedules.
• Perform operator duties while providing break and lunch coverage as needed.
• Train, cross-train, and support team members in equipment operation and setup.
• Ensure accurate and timely production reporting, downtime tracking, and SAP data entry.
• Communicate and collaborate with Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Shipping & Receiving teams.
• Maintain food safety, quality, legality, and housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
• Provide supervisory coverage, performance feedback, and issue resolution in the Supervisor's absence.

About the Role

We are seeking a Production Lead to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Production Lead, you will coordinate and guide production and packing teams to ensure safe, efficient operations while meeting production schedules, quality standards, and reporting requirements.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 2nd Shift
• Schedule: Rotating shifts as required by the business
• Weekend Availability: Required

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $26.25

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Coordinate and direct production and packing team activities to meet daily production schedules

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead, assign, and coordinate team members
• Working knowledge of production equipment and processes
• Ability to accurately complete production documentation and system data entry
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts, extended hours, and weekends as required

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Prior lead or supervisory experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
• Experience working with SAP or similar production reporting systems
• Knowledge of food safety, quality, and sanitation standards
• Experience training or cross-training production employees
• Proven ability to improve efficiency and productivity in a team environment
