Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; 1 year bakery experience preferred; or any education/experience that covers the listed skills.
• Experience mixing, proofing and baking quickly with quality results.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe.
• Basic math skills used to half or double recipes.
• Knowledge of mixing, cooking, baking, and assembling procedures for sweet goods.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to accept constructive feedback and be accountable for team success.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Shares accountability with Bakery Manager for production levels, product assortment, inventory levels and product quality.
• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures.
• Ensures quality and freshness of all bakery products and services.
• Maintains appropriate product rotation and inventory for the bakery.
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products (ad items).
• Ensures bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets company appearance standards.
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers.
• Follows production sheets and adheres to product rotation for Harmons’ fresh baked products.
