Astrello.ai is seeking a Lead Backend Software Engineer to shape the core platform. You will guide backend engineering across GCP, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and Node.js, building secure, scalable systems for healthcare workflows.

You will lead a team, mentor engineers, and drive AI-assisted development while maintaining high engineering standards, security, and HIPAA-aligned practices. This role offers remote work and a collaborative, fast-moving health-tech environment.

You’ll lead backend engineering across our stack — GCP, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Node.js — and guide a team building secure, scalable systems that power real‑world healthcare workflows.

We’re also looking for someone who is an AI‑assisted engineer:

• Someone who uses modern AI tools to accelerate design, coding, testing, and documentation while maintaining high engineering standards.
