Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Houston location seeks senior software engineers to design, develop, and troubleshoot scalable systems in an Agile team. You will build secure, high-quality production code, review peers, and influence product design and operations.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers and leading technical interview processes. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs, integrating with AWS services and databases, Kafka, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 7 years of experience.
• 5+ years developing backend systems in Java with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• 3+ years deploying containerized apps with Kubernetes, Helm, and Karpenter.
• Experience with AWS, Cassandra/NoSQL, and ETL data pipelines.
• Knowledge of security, testing, and CI/CD best practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with Product Owners.
• Develop secure production code and conduct unit/integration tests.
• Review code, mentor juniors, and drive design decisions.
• Conduct technical interviews and explore automation opportunities.
