You will help define a scalable architecture, mentor a platform team, and ensure production integrations meet CJIS security and reliability standards in a fast-moving public-safety context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years managing teams and building production integrations with public-safety or similar systems.
• Experience with CAD, RMS, or public-safety systems is preferred.
• Proven ability to work with fire service, EMS, or emergency management contexts.
• Strong backend engineering with Python and TypeScript/Node.js.
• Cloud-native experience and CJIS-aligned environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and mentor the core interoperability team.
• Define scalable architecture and manage production integration strategy with FD and CAD vendors.
• Design and maintain CAD integration services and data transformations.
• Ingest and normalize FD preplans and GIS data for STAR-IQ backend.
• Integrate Mapbox, ESRI, and department GIS layers behind dashboards.
• Implement identity, SSO, AuthN/AuthZ, and MDM flows at scale.
• Ensure audit logging and data separation for production/training/simulated data.
• Develop integration docs and run joint technical sessions during rollout.
• Maintain CJIS/compliance-aware designs and data handling rules.
