Job summary

Oteemo, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to oversee distributed architectures powering mission-critical APIs and data services in a cloud-hosted environment (preferably AWS).

You will fuse hands-on leadership with strategic oversight in TypeScript and GoLang, driving API patterns across GraphQL and REST, and securing data exchanges with modern IAM and encryption practices. Qualifications

Expert-level TypeScript and GoLang with Node.js experience.
Experience with Apollo Server (GraphQL), Express, and RESTful API design.
Cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure); serverless and container orchestration.
IaC with CDK or Terraform; security by design incl TLS, OIDC/JWT.
Experience with distributed tracing, logging, and metrics pipelines.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

Responsibilities

Lead service decomposition for GraphQL subgraphs and backend APIs.
Define resiliency and observability patterns.
Ensure security-by-design principles and IAM policies.
Oversee compute stacks and networking.
Drive CI/CD and zero-downtime deployments.
Mentor engineers and collaborate with product and security teams.
Architect data models and manage data integration with warehouses (Snowflake).
