We are seeking a skilled Lead Back End Python Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of talented developers, leads, and architects who will provide guidance as you expand your skills and tackle complex problems for our clients.

Information Security Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols.
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information.

Role and Responsibilities

• Partner with developers, leads, and architects to solve problems and deliver high-quality work for our clients.
• Write clean, tested, reusable, and efficient code.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our tech stack.
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies to support client projects.
• Work collaboratively with a team in an Agile environment.
• Lead from the front, guiding development teams (including non-developers) to the completion of successful projects.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of our talent pool.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional programming experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Python, focusing on web and API development.
• Strong hands-on experience with designing, developing, and consuming APIs.
• Experience with JavaScript (React preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile development processes, coding standards, and version control systems.
• Experience in scalable website and web application development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Cloud platform experience, especially with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have a 2- or 4-year degree in CS/Engineering, be a bootcamp grad, or be self-taught with practical experience.

$118,000 - $158,000 a year

Individual pay is determined by many factors, including experience, relevant education or training, and organizational needs. The mid-range to maximum of the salary range is generally reserved for individuals who are highly experienced in the role.
