Job: Lead Azure Engineer with PM skills

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite only 5 days in office)

Pay Rate: $63-$65 /hr C2C

Responsibilities:

• Setup backup for Azure virtual machines using Azure Recovery Vault.
• Setup alerts using Azure Monitor and automate the response when an alert is triggered.
• Worked on deployment of products using Azure DevOps, including core resources deployment with ARM templates (incremental deployment using nested templates).
• Automated processes such as new site deployment, scale management of Azure Web Apps, and monitoring of web apps metrics.
• Engage stakeholders, apprising them of day‑to‑day activities.
• Handle high‑priority escalations and bring them to resolution.
• Engage various teams to troubleshoot P1 issues.
• Assist in drafting root‑cause responses for stakeholders.
• Monitor the environment & ensure services availability 24x7.
• Resolve infrastructure‑related issues including over 300 Windows machines (physical & virtual) hosted on-premise and Azure platforms.
• Deploy patches to cloud applications and environments; assist clients with application management and deployment.
• Evaluate, recommend and deploy tools to implement best industry standards and processes.
• Broad understanding of planning, design, deployment & management of enterprise IT; proficient in running successful process‑oriented operations, including implementation of cost‑cutting strategies and initiatives for business excellence.
