Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Principal AWS Cloud Architect – Networking & Observability to design, implement, and optimize AWS networking, monitoring, logging, and observability across multi-account and multi-region environments. Remote work is available with high seniority requirements.

The role emphasizes hub-and-spoke networking, cross-account observability, and governance with IaC and CI/CD integration. 12+ years of IT experience and strong AWS expertise are expected.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of IT experience with strong AWS cloud infrastructure and networking expertise.
• Hands-on design experience for enterprise-scale AWS networking solutions.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, hybrid connectivity, and network segmentation.
• Experience with building enterprise observability and logging platforms.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, CIS compliance; IaC and CI/CD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-VPC architectures with optimized CIDR allocation across AWS accounts and regions.
• Implement hub-and-spoke architectures using Transit Gateway and Cloud WAN with route controls.
• Configure hybrid connectivity via Direct Connect and VPN failover, and design NAT egress paths.
• Implement AWS PrivateLink, Network Firewall, and secure inter-VPC connectivity.
• Build centralized observability with CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudTrail, and cross-account monitoring.
• Develop automated compliance reporting and CI/CD-driven deployment of networking configs.
