Job summary

Castelion is hiring a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for avionics to own end-to-end manufacturing, from prototype builds to scalable production. You will build and lead a world-class manufacturing engineering team, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.

You will collaborate across design, quality, supply chain, and program management to achieve cost and schedule objectives while advancing DFx initiatives and test automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with avionics, electronics, PCB/PCBA, or complex electromechanical hardware.
• Experience scaling production from development/prototype to high volume production.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers/technicians and strong leadership abilities.
• Strong knowledge of electronics hardware manufacturing (PCBs, harnesses, assemblies) and quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of manufacturing and test engineers; set goals and drive improvements.
• Develop and implement processes for avionics assemblies and tooling; define BOM/MBOM and procedures.
• Oversee transition from prototype to production; ensure DFM/DFT considerations.
• Lead testing, environmental and reliability programs; drive root-cause investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/CI; ensure documentation and compliance.
