Job summary

Castelion Corporation seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to own end-to-end avionics manufacturing, from prototype builds to rate production. You will lead a world-class team, establish processes, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced defense startup environment.

The role requires expertise in DFM/DFT, MES/ERP/PLM systems, and Lean/Six Sigma practices, with cross-functional collaboration across design, quality, supply chain, and program management. Expect challenging, impactful work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 5 years in manufacturing with avionics/electronics.
• Experience scaling production from development to high volume.
• Experience leading engineers/technicians.
• Strong knowledge of electronics hardware manufacturing.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of manufacturing and test engineers; set goals and drive improvement.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes for avionics assemblies.
• Plan factory layout, tooling, and production workflows for repeatable output.
• Assist transition from prototype to production with DFM/DFT focus.
• Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain to meet cost/schedule targets.
• Define and improve metrics: yields, throughput, lead times, scrap.
