Relativity Space is seeking a Lead Avionics Controllers Hardware Engineer in the United States to guide a small team of electrical engineers designing custom avionics controllers for Terran R. You will lead the full product lifecycle from design to flight production, interfacing with propulsion, fluids, stage engineering and GNC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electronics design experience for harsh environments and mission-critical applications.
• Strong background in mixed-signal and analog circuit design, sensor conditioning, ADCs/DACs, and filter design.
• Experience designing control electronics for actuating loads (solenoids, motors, firing circuits).
• Experience with sensor interfacing (pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, flow meters, position sensors).
• Experience leading RCCA investigations (5 Whys, fishbone, fault tree).
• Experience mentoring small teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of electrical engineers designing avionics controllers for Terran R.
• Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle: design, bring-up, verification, qualification, flight production, integration, operations.
• Collaborate with propulsion, fluids, stage engineering and GNC to meet demanding vehicle requirements.
