Job summary

Vertical Mag in Tampa, FL is seeking a Maintenance & Engineering specialist to lead heavy aircraft maintenance activities. The role requires reading maintenance manuals, ensuring compliance with FARs/ADs/SBs, and directing a team with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has an airframe license, 5 years of heavy aircraft experience, and the ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge. Flex hours including nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid airframe license required.
• FCC license preferred but not required.
• Five (5) years experience in heavy aircraft maintenance.
• Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.
• Thorough knowledge of FARs, ADs, Service Bulletins, and maintenance manuals.
• Must have good judgement and make sound decisions.
• Must be able to obtain airport SIDA badge.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, assigns, and directs all work in the component of the maintenance team.
• Instructs other employees in proper methods and procedures as required.
• Read and interpret information; review work in process; ensure quality and timely completion of all tasks.
• Responsible for satisfactory completion of work performed by supervised staff.
• Travel on an as-needed basis to support off-site maintenance.
